For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in whom they have not ever heard? and how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? as it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!" -Romans 10:13-15 (ESV)

Name(s): David and Grace McBrier

Host Country: Hungary

David and Grace come from a working person's perspective as becoming missionaries is a secondary call upon their lives. David and Grace worked in the secular world until their 40's until God called them into full-time service of missionary life. They felt the call in 1985 when they went on a short work missions trip to Ecuador. They spent a year in Russia with the CoMission and have been in the same city of Vac, Hungary for eleven years serving the Lord through an the English avenue. Their son, Caleb, was with them in the city for seven years before he returned to Indiana to pursue a career in becoming a pilot.

Testimony

David and Grace have a love for people. Through teaching English they have had the opportunity to work with groups in Conversation Clubs, providing the freedom to talk about spiritual matters intertwined into our everyday life. David and Grace also work through sports to offer baseball and softball to girls and boys aged from 8 to 12 year old for little league baseball and 14 to 90 for ladies softball. Spending one on one time with several adults encouraging them in their daily Christian walk and encouraging their passing on their faith to others is also a desire of theirs. Grace loves women's ministry and has been working with a Women of Wisdom group in raising up Godly Women who want the wisdom of God in their lives. Walking throughout the town prayer-walking is a
a common practice as the Lord has them in Vac to be Jesus to others, but the real work is prayer. They pray for God's presence to change hearts in Vac and throughout Hungary.
