David and Esther, Puerto Ricans, have been serving the Lord in different ways from an early age. Esther was raised in the church, but had an experience with Jesus at age twelve. Since that time she has served as a youth leader, Sunday school teacher, and on a youth board serving youth nationwide.
David came to know the Lord at seventeen in a revival that occurred in Puerto Rico, among young people who were in the Hippie movement. At eighteen, David responded to God's call, left home, and moved to establish a church, which arose another four churches. In Chile, David helped establish a church and he also went to Central Ameríca for short term mission trips. He arrived in Spain in 1990, where he worked to support national churches, teaching, preaching, evangelism and church planting.
David and Esther met in Seville, Spain, in 1992 while Esther was developing a social ministry to reach the Spaniards. They married in 1996 and have worked for World Partners since 2010.
David and Esther's focus of work in the last twelve years has been on establishing churches and mobilizing missionaries who come to work in Spain.
With the Lord's help, they have been able to raise up about fifteen missionaries and two churches due to direct and indirect work which they have done.
David and Esther have also raised two social associations, which are working with the needs of the community, especially immigrants.
At the moment, they are praying about starting a new church and developing a ministry to help young people who feel the call to missions and have stalled on the road.
