PrayLink for June 19, 2024

USA: Stephen & Gayle Burgstahler. Please be in prayer with us for God’s leading as we encounter the Somali population in Minneapolis. With over 86,000 Somali people recorded as living in Minnesota, it is the largest Somali population in the U.S.

Ecuador: Ana Cristina Bastidas. Please continue praying for my recovery. I am actively praying that God would heal me and straighten my leg so I don't need another operation. If not, I will have to have another surgery at the beginning of August. Please pray God would do a miracle in my legs!

Russia: Staff member. Pray for the Lord's anointing for my speaking engagements while I am home for the summer. Ask the Lord to make me a blessing to others all along the way. And I praise the Lord for providing a car to use this summer!

USA: Be praying for our Central District church camps going on this week for middle and high schoolers. Several of our World Partner teenagers who are home for the summer are attending. Leaders and hundreds of students from Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio will be gathering in Michigan at camp Michindoh. We are praying that all of the students who are going will encounter the living Jesus during this time.

Latvia: Rick & Madara Dugan. Your prayers over the next two weeks are crucial. This week I (Rick) will be leaving for 8 days in Cuba. This will be my second visit to Cuba, and I’ll be crossing the country with a World Partners’ Regional Leader from the Dominican Republic, the President of the Missionary Church USA, and the President of the Missionary Church of Cuba.

Churches are “bubbling up” across the country that are the fruit of intentional, Christ-centric discipleship. We’re expecting that we’ll all be mutually encouraged by our fellowship, that we’ll have a clearer understanding of what Jesus is doing in Cuba, and we’ll discern how we can best support our brothers and sisters there.

USA: Please continue praying for the 15 new missionary units we sense the Lord wanting to add to World Partners. We seek 12 more and have several quality candidates in our pipeline. Ask the Lord to send more people from more of our MCUSA churches.

Alex Clem (left) is one of our newest staff members. He was able to visit the World Partners office and update everyone on his disciple making plans in Guatemala.

1 Thessalonians 5:18
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Pray for the World Partners staff and their families as many travel for ministry. Pray for wisdom, health, and protection as they continue to share the gospel. Pray for encouragement and strength against the forces of this world. And also, for safety and peace for the World Partners staff who are in countries with volatile situations.
